Owner & Exercise Scientist
Davon Gilliard achieved his degree in exercise science at the College of Charleston. He further honed his skills by interning as a Strength and Conditioning (S&C) coach, working with various teams at CofC. Simultaneously, he served as a physical therapy tech at MUSC. Davon's passion for sports has been a constant throughout his life, with notable achievements at both high school and collegiate levels. His expertise spans from sport performance and basketball skill development to personal fitness, therapy, and overall health. What sets Davon apart is not only his diverse skill set but also his passion for connecting with people, elevating him in the sports and fitness profession.
Director of Basketball
Damian Hurta is a basketball skill development trainer and shooting specialist coach. Damian played 4 years at Columbia International University (CIU) and is one of the top 3 point shooters in school history. For 3 of his 4 years there he has the most 3 pointers made in a season. He is also ranked number 2 in school history for steals. Damian brings a specialized and unique skill set to our basketball training program. Director of Operations and Lacrosse
Taylor comes to CST from Longwood University where she earned her bachelor of science degree in kinesiology. While at Longwood, she was a four-year member of the women’s lacrosse team. Taylor found a love for strength and conditioning while she was recovering from different injuries throughout her lacrosse career. With her experience playing Division I lacrosse, Taylor has a passion for helping young athletes persevere through adversity and help them become not only physically strong but mentally strong for their sport. Taylor is a certified personal trainer through NASM.
Darrell Singleton has an extensive background in speed development, conditioning, and running technique.
Singleton is an alumni of The University of South Carolina where he ran Track & Field and during his time there he was selected to represent Team USA in an international competition. Singleton currently assists the local athletes that strive to make it to the next level. Director of Football
Jordan is a James Island HS & North Carolina A&T alum. He is proudly a part of the Post & Courier 2010 Low-country all decade team. Jordan is 2x National HBCU champion. He also is the James Island HS wide receivers coach. Jordan continues to share his love for football through coaching and is excited to share his knowledge.
Performance and Football Specialist
Marquise Blount is a former cadet athlete who Played football for 5 seasons at the citadel. He graduated and received a bachelor’s in criminal justice, then later went off to train for an opportunity to be in the NFL. While training, he received a call and was blessed enough to take a rookie mini camp invite from the Carolina panthers.
Marion (Kirk) Kirkland
Coach Kirk earned his Bachelors and Masters of Exercise Science degree from the University of South Carolina. During his time there he was a research assistant for the Sports Science Lab and a S&C intern for the Gamecock Baseball Organization. After graduating, Coach Kirk was a lead performance coach at Apex Athletic Performance where he worked with athletes from a diverse range of sports from middle school through the professional level! Kirk is currently a personal training at Anytime Fitness where he uses a holistic approach to help his clients reach any goal!
When working out, I seek to be pushed to my maximum limit while also focusing on my weakness’s trying to make them my strengths. Davon’s workouts not only helps with skill but also strength and agility being able to withstand fatigue during the course of a game. The repetitions not only helps with focus but allows me to stay mentally sharp so when it comes time for the game everything is all familiar.
